Rosters, coaches announced for Azalea Orthopedics All-Star High School Basketball Classic

Rosters for the 20th annual Azalea Orthopedics All-Star High School Basketball Classic have been announced.
The event will take place on April 26 at Tyler Junior College’s Wagstaff Gymnasium. The girls game is slated to start at 5:30 p.m. with the boys game after. Between games, there will be a dunk contest and shooting contest.
The event gives high school seniors the opportunity to showcase their talent for college coaches and hometown fans. Area seniors are nominated by their high school coaches and are selected by an All-Star panel. The teams are geographically divided, which means rival players have the opportunity to team up in this contest. It’s an opportunity for the public to cheer on top-tier talent in an East vs. West showdown.
Playing for the Girls West team are Brownsboro’s Tiykeah McKenzie, Canton’s Allison Rickman, Malakoff’s Hillary Dawson, Martin’s Mill’s Ruthie Mein, Neches’ Sealy Hines, Rains’ Jazzlyn Phillips, Tyler’s Kalyse Buffin, Corsicana’s Aaliyah Mathis, Crockett’s Tania Davis, Frankston’s Wila Davis, LaPoynor’s Bre Howard, Lovelady’s Lexi Price, Mineola’s Kyra Jackson and Mineola’s Jayla Jackson. Brook Hill’s Brenna Hill, who was injured before the start of the season, was also selected for the West team. Coaches for the Girls West team are head coach Troy Carrell of Canton High School and his assistants Joe Collins and Amanda Hodge.
Playing for the Girls East team are Carthage’s Kaylen Igbokwe, Garrison’s Brianna Downs, Grace Community’s Hannah Stout, Hallsville’s Hope Miles, Hawkins’ Taetum Smith, Jefferson’s Jordyn Davidson, Pittsburg’s Randieunna Jeffery, Quitman’s Sadie Vander Schaaf, Tatum’s Aundrea Bradley, Tenaha’s Kaedynce Cox, Tyler Legacy’s Senoj Jones, West Rusk’s LaKendra (KeKe) Murphy, Longview’s Paris Simpson and Carlisle’s Lexi Ibarra. Coaches for the Girls East team are head coach Quina Conde of Hawkins High School and her assistant Terry Boyd.
Playing for the Boys West team are Brook Hill’s Beck Langemeier, Brownsboro’s Mann Scott, Groveton Centerville’s Jake Slaten, Frankston’s Jake Westbrook, LaPoynor’s Cort Reid, Martin’s Mill’s Jak Kinder, Tyler’s Jaishua Brown, Van’s Caden Rowe, Tyler HEAT’s Waker Hartman, Bullard’s Layne Alexander, Bullard’s Tyler Lamberth, Crockett’s Jayvon Bedford, Hudson’s Cooper Weeks and Eustace’s Rhett Dyer. Coaches for the Boys West team are head coach Jeremy Lee of Bullard High School and his assistants Kyle Casey and Don Gibson.
Playing for the Boys East team are Brookeland’s Cade Morgan, Center’s Timothy Johnson, Hawkins’ Derek Hollman Jr., Mount Pleasant’s Reggie Webster, Sabine’s Hudson McNatt, Shelbyville’s DJ Barnes, Tatum’s JaCorie Bradley, Timpson’s JJ Garner, Tyler Legacy’s Ja’Corian Oes, Tyler Legacy’s Jayden Jones, Gary’s Mason Powell, Arp’s Landon Smith, Beckville’s J.T. Smith and Overton’s Bryce Still. Coaches for the Boys East team are head coach Kyle Smith of Tyler Legacy High School and his assistants Dean Nuckolls, Brandon Rougely, Brad Lowery and Bobby Walker.
Tickets are $6 for adults. Students are $3 or free with a student ID. Children 5 and under are free. All proceeds from the All-Star games are donated to the Bethesda Health Clinic.
