ET Softball: Spring Hill, Troup, Overton, Union Grove, Waskom earn rins

S. HILL 5, CARTHAGE 0: CARTHAGE — Abbye McFaul pitched a complete-game shutout for Spring Hill, striking out three and walking four, and the Lady Panthers scored all five runs in the fourth inning on the way to a 5-0 win over Carthage.

Makayla Navarro, Kyndall Witt, Khloe Saxon and Josie Gray all had two hits for Spring Hill. Navarro and Witt both doubled, singled and drove in two runs


Brooklyn Rushing struck out three, walked one and allowed two earned runs in seven innings for Carthage. Jiyia Williams singled twice, and Jaleah Williams added a double for the Lady Dawgs.

NACOGDOCHES 9, MARSHALL 6: MARSHALL — Nacogdoches took the lead for good with a five-run third, and added two in the top of the seventh to put things away in a 9-6 win over Marshall.

Maggie Pringle struck out four and walked three in five innings for Marshall. Anna Bellet Peters fanned one and walked one in two innings.

Addi Watkins singled twice, and Pringle had a single and three RBI for the Lady Mavericks. Molly Skinner and Alex Stevens also drove in runs.

TROUP 16, TATUM 1: TATUM — Taylor Gillispie struck out six, walked three and gave up one earned run on one hit in three innings as the Troup Lady Tigers notched a 16-1 win over Tatum.

Heather Longino homered, tripled, doubled and drove in two runs and Olivia Anderson had two doubles and four RBI for Troup. Shiloh Sluder added two singles. Gillispie helped her own cause with a double, single and two RBI. London Driggers homered and drove in three runs. Kiyah Arterberry doubled, and Makayla Spencer chipped in with an RBI.

Noa Cart and Audrey Parsons pitched for Tatum. Camryn Milam doubled for Tatum’s lone hit, and Layla Icenhower drove in the lone Tatum run.

OVERTON 13, O. CITY 4: OVERTON — Kelsey Vaught did damage in the circle and at the plate for Overton, leading the Lady Mustangs to a 13-4 win over Ore City.

Vaught struck out nine with no walks in seven innings for the pitching win, and she drove in six runs with a triple, double and single. Siann Levoy added two singles. Sarah Emery doubled, singled and drove in two runs. Kasha Williams and Bryleigh Nelson both doubled and singled, and Williams and Nelson added RBI for the Lady Mustangs.

Addysyn Perez and Jordan Johnson pitched for Ore City. Perez struck out six and walked five in three innings, and Johnson fanned five and walked two in three frames. Kayla Peckham singled twice and drove in a run, and Kylie Humphrey added a double, single and two RBI for the Lady Rebels.

U. GROVE 10, HARLETON 8: UNION GROVE — Emma Dabreu went the distance in the circle for Union Grove, striking out five and walking six while giving up two earned runs in a 10-8 win over Harleton.

Aubrie Coulter and Jamie Webb had two hits apiece for Union Grove, and Coulter, Webb, Olivia Dabreu, Emma Dabreu, Mia Mullican and Izzy Gregg all drove in runs.

Landree Lowry and Mallory Gonzalez pitched for Harleton. Leighton McWhorter homered and drove in three runs and Jessie Finley added a triple and an RBI for Harleton. Kaylea Nealy and Addison Morris also drove in runs, and Zoey Ring tripled.

WASKOM 12, E. FIELDS 10: ELYSIAN FIELDS — Jada Spencer doubled, singled twice and drove in a run, Kenley Boughton and Maci Barbo added two RBI apiece and the Waskom Lady Wildcats edged Elysian Fields, 12-10.

Kenley Boughton singled twice and drove in two runs for Waskom, and Peyton Fussell and Jayden Cullum added RBI. Summer Collins, Jayden Cullum and Peyton Welch all pitched for Waskom.

Layla Adkins struck out eight and walked six for Elysian Fields. At the plate, Kaleigh Merritt doubled once and singled twice, driving in a run. Taylor Youngblood had two hits and an RBI. Adkins doubled and chased home two runs, and Abagail Hooten, Madi Giddens, Madison Owens and Avery Woodley all drove in runs.
