Karmen Miller tosses perfect game for Brook Hill

BULLARD — Karmen Miller threw a perfect game in leading the Brook Hill Guard to a 10-0 win over Grace Community on Thursday in a TAPPS district softball game.
Miller struck out 13 in the five-inning no-hitter.
At the plate, Miller had single with two RBIs.
Mylee Booth led the Guard with three hits with three runs scored and an RBI.
Blair Brister and Menah Harley added doubles for Brook Hill with singles from Kolbi Winkel, Kenzie Lakata, Allyson Mathews and Maddie Mathaney.
Also driving in runs were Winkel (2), Harley (1), Booth (1) and Peyton Byars (1).
After the first game, Miller turned around and pitched another five-inning in which she struck out 10 in a 23-5 win over the Lady Cougars.
Miller drove in five runs in the nightcap with two hits, including a triple.
Matthews added a hit and knocked in four runs.
Harley had two doubles and a single with other doubles from Lakata, Brister and Mathaney.
Brister, Lakata and Booth joined Harley with three hits.
Others with other RBIs include: Brister (2), Harley (2), Lakata (2), Booth (2), Byars (2) and Winkel (1).
Sadie Arriola hit a home run for the Lady Cougars and knocked in four runs. She has two hits.
Macie Mathis had two hits.
