Katherine Wilder

TYLER — It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Katherine Eloise Wilder, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend, who left us peacefully at the age of 90. Katherine was born on June 7, 1934 to Roy Phillips and Louise Sheppard and was a devoted homemaker who found great joy in caring for her family and traveling the world with loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Louise Phillips, her husband Jesse Wilder, whom she married in 1951 and spent 60 wonderful years together before Jesse’s passing in 2012, her son Jesse Michael Wilder, her brother Leroy Phillips, and her sister Ophelia Eysel. She will be remembered for her kind heart, her unwavering love for her family, and her ability to bring joy to those around her.

Katherine is survived by her son, Jerry Wilder and wife Patricia of Chandler, her daughter, Cathy Drew of Winnsboro, three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren who were the light of her life. She will be greatly missed, but her legacy of love, compassion, and family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Visitation will be at Beaty Funeral Home, Mineola TX on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 from 6_7 pm. Graveside service is scheduled at Cathedral in the Pines on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at 10:00 am.
