Tyler Legacy’s track and field team competed at the District 10-6A Track and Field Championships Tuesday at Forney City Bank Stadium in Forney.

The event was condensed to one day due to inclement weather.

Legacy’s girls placed second, and the boys took seventh place.

The top four from each event will advance to the District 9-6A/10-6A area meet, which will be April 10 at Wylie High School.

Qualifying from Legacy girls are Zion Smith (long jump and triple jump), Mariyah Coon (long jump) Taylor Woods (high jump), Jaida Sanders (high jump), Maddry East (3,200 meters and 1,600 meters), Emma Feldman (3,200 meters and 1,600 meters), DeCaila Bailey (100 meters and 200 meters), Mikalah Edwards (100 meters), Ruthanne Robison (300 hurdles), Jakira Williams (200 meters) and the 800 relay team of Bailey, Coon, Za’Nyla Whitaker and Williams,
