Rockwall-Heath stops Lady Raiders

HEATH — The Rockwall-Heath Lady Hawks scored an 11-4 win over the Tyler Legacy Lady Raiders on Friday in a District 10-6A softball game.

The Lady Raiders fall to 6-14 overall and 1-6 in district. The Lady Hawks improved to 8-13 and 3-4.


Sophia Viramontes led Tyler Legacy with two hits (single, double) and an RBI.

Adding hits for the Lady Raiders were ReNaa Hicks and Haley Tucker.

Joining Viramontes with RBIs were Tucker (2) and Ruby Byers (1).

Scoring runs were Byers (1), Viramontes (1), Krisney Austin (1) and Vivan Williams (1).

The Lady Hawks were led by Taylor Scott with three hits (2 triples, single) and four runs scored. Jada Williams had a home run and triple with two RBIs and two runs scored.

Other contributors were Kelsey Wathen (double, 2 RBIs, 2 runs), Alex Pitre (double, 2 RBIs), Piper Moore (single, 2 RBIs), Makenna Burleson (single, 2 runs) and Anna-Kate Synesael (single).

The Lady Raiders play host to North Forney at 7 p.m Tuesday and visit Royse City at 7 p.m. Friday. The Lady Hawks host Van Alstyne in a non-district game at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and visit North Forney at 7 p.m. Friday.
