Tyler ISD confirmed three former employees from Tyler High were recently arrested on grounds related to injury to a child.

A spokesperson for Tyler ISD said the child in question had disabilities, and an investigation was launched into the matter as soon as it was made known to Tyler ISD staff.

“This situation is appalling, disappointing, and disheartening-especially because it concerns our most vulnerable population,” Superintendent Marty Crawford said. “As educators and caretakers, we hold ourselves to the highest standards, and any violation of that trust is completely unacceptable.”
