JACKSONVILLE — Rylie Graul and Mollie Carlile scored goals as the Bullard Lady Panthers defeated the Henderson Lady Lions 2-0 in a Class 4A Division 2 area soccer playoff game at the Tomato Bowl on Tuesday.


It was the 19th consecutive win for the Lady Panthers (19-1). Henderson ends its season at 9-11-1.

“I was proud of how hard the girls fought in addition to keeping their cool in such a physical match,” Bullard Coach Tiffany Cooksey said.

Bullard scored first as Graul converted a penalty kick after a hand ball by the Lady Lions at 12:23 of the first half.

With 5:20 remaining in the first half, Carlile scored off an assist from Niyah Gee.

Sophomore Cadence Graul was in goal for Bullard.

The Lady Panthers advance to the regional semifinals to meet either Sunnyvale at 5:30 p.m. Friday at Christus Trinity Mother Frances Rose Stadium in Tyler.
