Calvin Rippy and Nolan Hable combined on a five-hitter as the Tyler Legacy Red Raiders defeated the North Forney Falcons 5-1 on Friday in a District 10-6A baseball game at Christus Trinity Mother Frances Mike Carter Field.
The win moves the Red Raiders to 10-8 on the season and 3-1 in district. The Falcons fall to 4-11-1 and 2-2.
Rippy tossed six innings, allowing four hits and no runs while striking out two and one walk. Hable followed by throwing the final inning, giving up one hit and an unearned run with no walks and three strikeouts.
Owen Harrison and Dallas Walker were each 3 for 3 at the plate.
Harrison had a double and triple with two RBIs, while Walker had a double and an RBI.
Leadoff hitter Garner McKinney had four walks and scored a run.
Adding hits for the Red Raiders were Hable, Payne Hotman and Cole Kimmel.
Cale Zips also had an RBI.
The Red Raiders return home on Tuesday, hosting Royse City at 7 p.m. They will travel to meet the Bulldogs at 7 p.m. Friday.
