NEW LONDON — Taylor Gillispie tossed a one-hitter, striking out 14, in leading Troup to a 20-0 win over West Rusk on Tuesday in a District 16-3A softball game.


The Lady Tigers improve to 16-5 overall and 5-1 in league play. Gillispie walked just one hitter.

Makayla Spencer led Troup with two doulbes and a single.

Heather Longino, Gillispie, Ava Hays and Peyton Boyd each had two hits. One of Longino’s hits was a double.

Hays and Spencer each drove in three runs.

Abby Wood led West Rusk with a single.

The two clubs meet again on Friday in Troup. First pitch is set for 6 p.m.

ARP 15, WHITE OAK 5

ARP — Aubry Way drove in six runs and Neci Potts had four hits to help power the Arp Lady Tigers to a 15-5 win over White Oak in a District 16-3A softball game on Tuesday.

Arp improved to 18-4 overall and 5-1 in district.

Way, Hannah Martindale and Lacy Fletcher all belted home runs. Way, Katilynn Raymond and Maddie Birdsong all had doubles.

Way had three hits with two apiece from Addison Carpenter, Martindale and Birdsong. Potts and Martindale

Fletcher had three RBIs with Birdsong knocking in two. Potts and Martindale had an RBI apiece.

Arp visits White Oak for a 6:30 p.m. game on Friday.

BULLARD 8, HUDSON 1

HUDSON — Brooklyn Brannen struck out 13 and allowed just four hits as the Bullard Lady Panthers defeated the Hudson Lady Hornets 8-1 on Tuesday in a District 18-4A softball.

Bullard improved to 17-3 overall and 2-0 in district. Hudson fell to 11-10-1 and 1-1. The two teams play again on Friday, but this time in Bullard at 6 p.m.

Brannen allowed no earned runs.

Kenzi Roberts had a triple and double with a two-bagger by Emery Baker.

Roberts was 4 for 4 with four RBIs. Kamryn Honzell had two hits.

Other hits by the Lady Panthers were from Kirstin Malone, Brannen and Karter Swanson.

Brannen had three RBIs with one from Baker.

VAN 15, KEMP 0

VAN — Tatum Horton fanned six with no walks and two hits allowed in three innings as the Van Lady Vandals blanked Kemp, 15-0.

Jailey Potter homered and drove in two runs and Maylan Hale and Tatum Horton added three RBI apiece for Van. Horton doubled once and singled twice. CharLee Carr had a double, single and two RBI. Averi Crouch singled twice and chased home one run. Kaelyn Harvey tripled and drove in a run, and Hale had a double.

ROCKWALL 17, TYLER LEGACY 1

The Rockwall Lady Jackets scored a 17-1 win over Tyler Legacy on Tuesday in a District 10-6A softball game at the Lady Raiders’ diamond.

ReNaa Hicks had a triple for the Lady Raiders with singles from Sophia Viramontes, Hadison Maxey and Haley Tucker.

Chole Phe led Rockwall with a triple and single and three RBIs.

The Lady Raiders are scheduled to visit Forney on Friday.

GRAND SALINE 10, MINEOLA 8

GRAND SALINE — Alissa Fugate hit two homers and Karsynn Null added one home run as the Grand Saline Lady Indians scored a 10-8 win over Mineola on Tuesday in a District 15-3A softball game.

Grand Saline moves to 15-5-1 overall and 5-0 in district. Mineola falls to 7-8-2 and 2-2.

Mineola hosts Winona at 4 p.m. Thursday. Grand Saline visits Malakoff at 6:30 p.m. Friday.

SPRING HILL 20, KILGORE 7

KILGORE — Kyndall Witt doubled, singled and drove in four runs, Josie Gray homered and added three RBI and the Spring Hill Lady Panthers earned a 20-7 win over Kilgore on Tuesday.

Peyton Dees singled three times, swiped four bases, scored three times and drove in two runs for the Lady Panthers. Haley Blake had three hits and three RBI, also scoring three times and swiping four bags.. Aubreigh Whiddon had a triple, single and RBI, and Mattye Moore drove in a run. Sophie Robinett scored twice and stole four bases.

Abbye McFaul and Moore both pitched for Spring Hill.

Lexi Elmore tripled, doubled and drove in a run for Kilgore. Molly Quine had two singles and two RBI. Makaylah Jackson doubled and drove in two runs, and Kell Hooper added a double.

CARTHAGE 13, PINE TREE 1

LONGVIEW — Brooklyn Rushing struck out seven and walked two in five innings, and the Carthage Lady Dawgs used a nine-run first inning to take control of things in a 13-1 win over Pine Tree.

Mya Nelson had three hits and scored three times for Carthage. Callie Lancaster tripled, doubled and drove in three runs. Addi Kneipp added a double, single and RBI. Anna Grace Bagley singled and drove in two runs. Mallory Tutt added a double and an RBI, and Jaleah Williams homered and drove in three runs. Jiyia Williams also chipped in with an RBI.

Mo Rougely and Taylor Burkhart pitched for Pine Tree.Rhi Black drove in the lone run for the Lady Pirates.

TEXAS HIGH 9, MARSHALL 8

MARSHALL — Texas High overcame a 6-0 deficit with a seven-run fifth and held on for a 9-8 win over Marshall on Tuesday.

Anna Belle Peters and Maggie Pringle pitched for Marshall.

Bri Theus homered, singled and drove in three runs in the loss for the Lady Mavericks. Taylor Crutcher and Addi Watkins both doubled, singled and drove in runs for Marshall. Karleigh Robinson had two singles and two RBI, and Pringle doubled and drove in a run.

GILMER 2, HENDERSON 0

GILMER — Alexis Kemp struck out four with one walk, scattering four hits as Gilmer blanked Henderson 2-0.

Jayna Rucker provided the offense for Gilmer with a home run and two RBI. Alex Werbeck added two singles for the Lady Buckeyes.

Chloe Ellis struck out 10 with two walks and one earned run allowed in the loss for Henderson. Colbie Rountree, Ellis, Niya Vanzandt and Jacie Boothe all singled for the Lady Lions.

SULPHUR SPRINGS 9, PITTSBURG 1

PITTSBURG — Sulphur Springs took control with a four-run third inning and put things away with a three-run sixth on the way to a 9-1 win over Pittsburg.

Audrina Landin struck out six and walked one, giving up four earned runs in the loss for Pittsburg, which was held hitless on the night.

JEFFERSON 9, HARMONY 5

JEFFERSON — Madison Clark did damage in the circle and at the plate for Jefferson in a 9-5 win over Harmony.

Clark got the pitching win, striking out four and walking three while giving up two earned runs in seven innings. At the dish she added a two-run home run for the Lady Bulldogs. Tenazia Alexander doubled and drove in two runs. Maddie Cooner added a double and three RBI. Rayleigh Gulk doubled, and Janaa Goynes drove in a run.

Maecy Toland struck out six and walked three while allowing two earned runs in the loss for Harmony. Toland also had two hits, including a triple, and drove in a run. Hannah Martin doubled. Evie Helpenstill had two singles. Kara Schoon doubled and drove in two runs, and Kally Wade chipped in with an RBI.

NEW DIANA 6, DAINGERFIELD 0

DAINGERFIELD — Kiley Stanley struck out eight with five walks and one hit allowed in seven innings as New Diana blanked Daingerfield, 6-0.

Taryn Reece, Sawyer Stapleton and Chloe Green all had two hits for New Diana. Green doubled, singled and drove in a run, and Reece had one RBI. Avery Howard chipped in with a single and two RBI.

Khloe Stroman struck out two and walked none in six innings for Daingerfield. Jaycee Satterfield had the Lady Tigers’ lone hit, a single.

HUGHES SPRINGS 14, MPCH 0

HUGHES SPRINGS — Addysyn Billings tossed a five-inning one-hitter at Mount Pleasant Chapel Hill, striking out 14 with no walks as Hughes Springs rolled to a 14-0 win.

Sadie Golden singled and drove in three runs for Hughes Springs. Claira Robinson had a triple, two singles and an RBI. Billings, Kate McKinney and Madilyn Derrick all added two hits, with Billings tripling and McKinney, Derrick and Shae’Leigh Johnson all adding doubles. McKinney, Derrick, A.J. Perry, Tessa Dannelley and Kadi Daniels all drove in runs for Hughes Springs.

GLADEWATER 11, TATUM 10

GLADEWATER — Alayah Gordon doubled with one out and later scored as the Gladewater Lady Bears walked off with an 11-10 win over Tatum.

Gordon also pitched for Gladewater, striking out one and walking two. Karlee Moses doubled twice, singled and drove in a run and Janiah Strickland had a double, two singles and two RBI. Bailey Childress singled twice and drove in a run. Adyson Evans tripled and doubled. Makayah Boone added a double, single and two RBI. Shaylee Ellis tripled and plated a run, and Tatiana Gunder singled and drove in a run.

Noa Cart struck out 12 and walked two in the pitching loss for Tatum.

Brailey Smith and Camryn Milam both banged out four hits for Tatum. Smith doubled twice and drove in six runs, and Milam homered once and doubled twice. Alex Tovar doubled, singled twice and drove in a run. Layla Icenhower had a double and single, and Cart and Alex Brown both drove in runs.

UNION GROVE 18,

ELYSIAN FIELDS 9

ELYSIAN FIELDS — Olivia Dabreu struck out six and walked three in seven innings, giving up one earned run as Union Grove notched an 18-9 win over Elysian Fields.

Jordyn Bishop, Dabrau and Kaki Pharr all had two hits for Union Grove. Hailey Carter added a double and two RBI. Pharr drove in three runs. Dabreu and Jamie Webb had two RBI apiece, and Bishop and Izzy Gregg added an RBI apiece.

Maddie Giddens banged out four singles in the loss for Elysian Fields. Kaylen Commander doubled twice and drove in a run. Madison Owens had a double and two RBI. Abagail Hooten drove in two runs. Rylee Deal doubled and chased home one run, and Julie Lowery chipped in with a single and RBI.

BECKVILLE 16, WASKOM 0

BECKVILLE — Hannah Rogers limited Waskom to one hit in three innings, striking out eight with no walks in a 16-0 win.

Gracey Struwe homered and drove in two runs and Brilee Brumley added a single and three RBI for Beckville. Kaitlyn Mauritzen and Carli Tuttle both singled and drove in runs, and Landrie Dennard and Emily Grandgeorge chipped in with RBI.

Summer Collins and Peyton Welch pitched for Waskom. Sadie LaGrone had the lone hit, a single.

ALBA-GOLDEN 6, HAWKINS 1

ALBA — Alba-Golden pulled away with a 3-run sixth inning on the way to a 6-1 win over Hawkins.

Kalyn Ellison struck out six with no walks and two earned runs allowed in six innings for Hawkins. Karsyn Johnson and Taetum Smith had singles for the Lady Hawks in the loss.
