BULLARD 8, BROOK HILL 0
BULLARD — Bullard broke open a scoreless game with eight runs in the bottom of the fifth for an 8-0 win over Brook Hill on Tuesday in a non-district baseball game.
Ethan Foster and Jackson Holt combined on the three-hit shutout. Foster pitched 5.1 innings, allowing three hits with three walks and 12 strikeouts. Holt finished up by tossing the final 1.2 innings with no hits or walks with five strikeouts.
Bryce Roberts had a triple and two RBIs to pace the Panthers. Ty Rigsby added a double and an RBI. Tate Wynne had two hits and an RBI.
Other Bullard players contributing were Atley Jones (single, RBI), Foster (single), Holt (single, RBI), Gage Alderman (single) and Jonah Hunter (single).
Dallas Clements led the Guard with two hits. Samuel Williams added a hit.
Bullard returns to play on Saturday, traveling to Longview to play Spring Hill at 1 p.m. The Guard plays host to Austin Hyde Park in a doubleheader on Saturday at Herrington Field (4 and 6:30 p.m.).
NORTH FORNEY 7, TYLER LEGACY 4
FORNEY — North Forney handed the Tyler Legacy Red Raiders their first district loss on Tuesday, a 7-4 defeat.
The Red Raiders fall to 9-8 overall and 2-1 in District 10-6A. The Falcons are 4-10-1 and 2-1.
North Forney scored two runs in the first and second innings for a 4-0 lead. The Red Raiders pulled within 4-2 in the third. The Falcons added three runs in the sixth inning. TL tried to rally by plating two runs in the seventh.
The Red Raiders had three hits — Payne Hotman, Garner McKinney and Nolan Hable. RBIs were from McKinney, Cale Zips and Simeon Garner.
Scoring runs for the Red Raiders were Hotman, McKinney, Cole Kimmel and Owen Harrison.
Zips started and pitched two innings for Legacy, allowing three hits and four runs (3 earned) with two walks and two strikeouts. Jaden Davis hurled the final four innings, giving up three hits and three runs with three walks and three strikeouts.
Kole Hall had a double for the Falcons and JP Porter had two hits. Matthew Calderon had three RBIs.
Brady Wells got the win on the mound, going 4.1 innings (2 hits, 2 runs, 5 walks, 5 strikeouts). Trey Hannigan got the final two outs for the save.
The two teams meet again on Friday as they play in a 7 p.m. contest at Christus Trinity Mother Frances Mike Carter Field.
LUFKIN 20, TYLER 0
LUFKIN — The Lufkin Panthers scored a 20-0 win over the Tyler High Lions on Tuesday in a District 10-5A baseball game.
The Lions are 3-13 overall and 0-5. The Panthers are 10-6 and 3-1.
Tyler returns to play on Friday, hosting Whitehouse at 4:30 p.m. at Christus Trinity Mother Frances Mike Carter Field.
The Panthers are scheduled to play at Hallsville at 7 p.m. Friday.
LINDALE 4, BROWNSBORO 1
LINDALE — Three Eagles combined on a three-hitter as Lindale defeated Brownsboro, 4-1, on Tuesday in a District 15-4A baseball game.
Lindale improves to 9-3-1 overall and 2-1 in district. The Bears are 5-12 and 0-3.
Jackson Parker started on the mound, pitching five innings while allowing three hits and one run with two walks and seven strikeouts. He was followed by Karter Fleming (.1 inning, 0 hits, 0 runs, 3 walks) and Kaden Adams (1.2 innings, 0 hits, 0 runs, 0 walks, 2 strikeouts). Parker got the win and Adams got the save.
Fleming had a single, two RBIs and one run. Other contributors for the Eagles were Jake Powell (1 hit, 1 RBI), Caleb Hart (1 hit, 1 run), Hudson Legrow (1 run, 1 RBI), Dax Derfelt (1 hit) and Adams (1 run).
Bobby Dodds had a double and single for the Bears, plus an RBI. Carson Crosby had a single and Jaxon Summerall scored the run.
The Eagles and Bears will play again on Friday in Brownsboro. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m.
PINE TREE 3, GILMER 2
LONGVIEW — M.J. Cates struck out nine and issued just one walk while giving up two earned runs in 6.2 innings to lead the Pine Tree Pirates to a 3-2 win over Gilmer.
Cates had a double and Bosston Johnson chipped in with a single for the Pirates, who scored lone runs in the first, second and fifth innings.
Brendon Darnold struck out seven and walked four in 4.1 innings and Klein Lindsey fanned three with no walks in 1.2 frames for Gilmer. Lindsey also singled and drove in a run.
SPRING HILL 10, CUMBERLAND 0
Three Panther pitchers combined on a no-hitter as Spring Hill rolled to a 10-0 win over Cumberland Academy in Tyler.
Grant Burton struck out five and walked one in four innings. Jayce Atkins fanned one with no walks in an inning, and CJ Wyche also pitched for the Panthers.
Eli Emery tripled, doubled and drove in two runs for Spring Hill. Burton singled and plated two runs. Cayden Rhodes had a single and two RBI. Trent Thompson singled three times and added an RBI. Corbin Broyles doubled and drove in a run. Mason Hassell doubled, and Reid Noon and Mason Barnes both added RBI.
HALLSVILLE 19, JACKSONVILLE 0
JACKSONVILLE — Kaden Akin, Case Haney and Mark Jenkins combined to limit Jacksonville to a couple of hits as Hallsville romped to a 19-0 win over the Indians.
Akin struck out six with no walks and two hits allowed in three innings. Haney and Jenkins worked one inning apiece, with Haney striking out two and Jenkins fanning one. Kade Chappel led the offense with four singles and four RBI. Landon Vineyard added a double, two singles and three RBI. Dunn Smith singled twice and chased home a run. Presto Thomas and Tyler Durrett both added a double and two RBI, and Hawk Haynes, Eli Solis, Cole Sellers and Christian Martin all drove in runs.
CARTHAGE 20, CHAPEL HILL 0
CARTHAGE — Cade Moore struck out five and walked two in three innings, Ryan Ezernack added two punchouts and two walks in an inning of work and Carthage blanked Chapel Hill 20-0.
Moore helped his own cause with a home run, triple and four RBI. Cale Preston tripled, singled and drove in four runs. Sam Watson added two singles and two RBI. Cade Ross, River Leach and Andrew Gwinn all doubled, with Leach, Kaden Ritter, Gwinn and Maddox Martinez driving in runs. Blayton LaGrone added a single and three RBI for the Bulldogs.
NEW DIANA 5, JEFFERSON 2
DIANA — Remi Rountree fanned eight and walked four, giving up one earned run in five innings to lead the New Diana Eagles past Jefferson, 5-2.
Kaiden Robinson had three strikeouts and now walks, hits or runs allowed in two innings for New Diana. Levin Green tripled, singled twice and drove in a run for New Diana. Mason Sherman added two singles and an RBI. Landon Melton tripled. Lucas Newland singled and drove in a run, and Rountree chipped in with a double.
WHITE OAK 4, ARP 1
ARP — Collin Wheat and Jaxsen Ludlow combined to strike out 13 and allow just two hits, leading the White Oak Roughnecks to a 4-1 win over Arp.
Wheat struck out eight and walked six in five innings, and Ludlow had five punch outs and one walk in two frames. At the dish, Jordy Robertson doubled, singled and drove in two runs. Ludlow and Tyson McKinney had two hits apiece, and Levi Sipes drove in a run.
Caden Cliborn struck out eight with three walks in seven innings for Arp. Will Sanford had a double for the Tigers.
TROUP 10, WEST RUSK 2
NEW LONDON — Troup pulled away late with six runs in the final two frames to earn a 10-2 win over West Rusk.
Kullin Tavarez struck out eight and walked five in 5.2 innings for West Rusk. Troy Hunley singled twice and drove in a run and Chris Sanchez added a single and an RBI for West Rusk.
CENTER 14, SABINE 1
LIBERTY CITY — The Center Roughriders put eight runs on the board in the top of the first inning on the way to a 14-1 win over the Sabine Cardinals.
Tristan Hardee struck out three and walked five in four innings for Sabine. Lincoln Royce fanned one and walked two in an inning. Ashton Pierce doubled for Sabine’s only hit.
MPCH 8, HARMONY 3
MOUNT PLEASANT — Mount Pleasant Chapel Hill put together a pair of four-run innings on the way to an 8-3 win over Harmony.
Jake Rider struck out eight and walked four in 4.2 innings for Harmony, and Leithen Wilkerson had three strikeouts and two walks in 1.1 innings. Tucker Armstrong singled and drove in a run for Harmony.
ELYSIAN FIELDS 9, UNION GROVE 5
ELYSIAN FIELDS — Brody Parker fanned eight and walked five in 6.1 innings, and six Yellowjackets drove in runs as Elysian Fields earned a 9-5 win over Union Grove.
Zane Childs singled twice, Evan White singled and doubled and Parker added a double and an RBI for Elysian Fields. White, Braeden Adkins, John Beavers, Tucker Watkins and Nunu Kennedy all added RBI.
Ryder Martindale struck out eight and walked three in six innings for Union Grove. Cason Cowan had three singles, Carte Cooper two singles and Porter Yohn a double and an RBI for the Lions. Kayden Day also drove in a run.
BECKVILLE 12, WASKOM 0
BECKVILLE — Aiden Brantley struck out 12 with no walks and tossed a four-inning no-hitter at Waskom as Beckville rolled to a 12-0 win.
Coy Stephens homered and drove in two runs for Beckville. Braxton Bullock added a double and three RBI, and Brantley helped his own cause with a double and two BI.
UNION. HILL 18, MILLER GROVE 2
MILLER GROVE — E.J. Mowery homered, tripled, doubled twice and drove in six runs, leading the Union Hill Bulldogs to an 18-2 win over Miller Grove.
Payton Harkins added a triple and three RBI, and Eli Mendoza doubled, singled three times and drove in two runs for the Bulldogs. Cayden Elledge and Wyatt Orsburn both doubled and singled, driving in runs. Harlee Burns added a double and an RBI, and Mitch Mobley and Jakoby Sumner chipped in with RBI.
Harkins went three innings on the hill for Union Hill, striking out five and walking three. Cayden Elledge went one inning, striking out two with no walks.
