Thousands of nominations have poured in for ETX View’s second-annual 40 Under Forty awards program, and there are only a few more opportunities to nominate a young, successful East Texan.
The 40 Under Forty awards recognize young professionals who have achieved success and excelled in their field of expertise before the age of 40. Nominations are still being accepted until Wednesday, Sept. 28.
Once all the nominations are in, they will be tallied to determine the top three nominees in each of the 40 categories of industry. The top three will move on to the voting phase, during which time individuals are invited to cast a ballot for the young professionals they believe to be most deserving.
How to nominate
Online at www.etxview.com/4040/4040_2022, you can see names of leaders who have already been nominated in their field and choose to nominate them if you feel they are deserving of such an accomplishment.
If you don’t see your favorite young professional already nominated in their industry, you can write in their name which will allow others to have the opportunity to nominate them each day until nominations close.
You may enter one nominee per day in each category, either by writing in a name or nominating a candidate who has already received nominations.
Each nominee will be verified by occupation, age and geographic location before moving on to the next phase.
Voting opens Oct. 3
The voting phase will open Oct. 3 and last through Oct. 18. You can vote once per day in each category during this period. Additionally, all nominees will be photographed and interviewed during the voting phase.
In the event of a category tie, judges consisting of the editor and publisher of the Tyler Morning Telegraph, Longview News-Journal and ETX View Magazine along with the president of M. Roberts Media will select the nominees to move forward.
Winners to be announced
The winners of the 40 Under Forty awards will be unveiled at a celebratory gala on Dec. 2 at the Infinity Event Center in Longview.
The ceremony and event is expected to exceed 500 attendees, with all nominees, their guests, and employers invited to the banquet. The event will include entertainment by the All Funk Radio Show along with heavy hors d’oeuvres.
In addition to the banquet, on Dec. 3 ETX View will also publish a special edition of the magazine in which the 40 winners will be profiled. You can view the 2021 40 Under Forty magazine here.
