A new healthy-living grocery and natural products store will open its doors on Tuesday, March 31. Natural Grocers is located in the building formerly occupied by Bed, Bath & Beyond at 4820 S. Broadway Ave.

“We are excited to become the newest neighbor in a community such as Tyler, which is very active and food- and health-oriented,” Kemper Isely, co-president of Natural Grocers and a member of the founding family, said in a release. “Natural Grocers brings its customers natural and organic meat, produce and dairy from the highest-quality producers. We also offer extensive complimentary, science-based nutrition education programs for making informed health and nutrition choices.”

Natural Grocers will have fresh, USDA Certified Organic produce, as well as other locally grown and locally produced items. It will also carry nation brands.

Denver-based, family-run Natural Grocers has 94 stores in 16 states, with more than 2,000 workers. In addition to the Tyler location, 17 stores are slated to open this year.

To celebrate, the Tyler location will have a number of special events:

 Tuesday, March 31: Opening Day with Paleo Wraps Cooking Demo.

 Saturday, April 4: Block Party, Gluten-Free Tasting Expo and Health Fair.

 Saturday, April 11: Spa Day Health Fair.

 Saturday, April 18: Earth Day Tasting Fair and Health Expo.

 Saturday, April 25: Paleo Fair.
