VAN — Van pitcher Sierra Nichols tossed a perfect game on Monday, blanking Wills Point 15-0 in the District 14-4A softball opener for both teams.

Nichols struck out five. She also had two doubles and five RBIs.

Morgan Benge was her batterymate for the no-hitter.

Halee Carter, Kylee Moore and Jordain Castillo all had doubles.

Moore added a triple as the Lady Vandals improve to 14-2.

Carter and Moore each had two RBIs.
