Patriots breeze to 9-1 victory over LC

Starter Jaime Paxton pitched seven innings and finished with seven strikeouts while the UT Tyler offense belted 10 hits in a 9-1 win over Louisiana College on Saturday night.
The win improved the Patriots’ overall record to 11-5 and 8-2 in American Southwest Conference play.
Kevan House led UT Tyler with four RBIs, including a two-run homer and a run-scoring triple. Buddy McCoy added two hits and two runs.
Jaime Paxton (5-1) struck out seven in seven innings of work, allowing one run on two hits with four walks for the Patriots.
UT Tyler got the scoring started early, scoring in the first on a Louisiana College (6-8) error, allowing McCoy to score to make it 1-0.
Logan Tucker made it 2-0 in the second on a single, scoring Blake Bonnin, who reached on a lead-off double to start the inning.
