LeTourneau University is slated to begin construction by early April on a $1.3-million athletic fieldhouse on its campus in South Longview.

The 6,000-square-foot fieldhouse will feature four separate locker rooms with 129 locker spaces for student athletes in men’s soccer and baseball and women’s soccer and softball.

“The fieldhouse is the latest project in a multi-million dollar improvement in campus facilities that support both intramural and intercollegiate athletics,” university spokeswoman Janet Ragland said Friday.
