LONGVIEW (KYTX) – A mother and daughter gave $100,000 to the City of Longview Thursday for a spay and neuter clinic at the soon-to-be-built animal adoption center.
Ella Bleu Nolte and her mom, Alicia Nolte, presented the check Thursday afternoon.
The city and Gregg County are building a $5.75 million shelter on H.G. Mosley Parkway.
For several years, the Noltes raised money for the shelter. “My mom has taught me a lot about this, and I’m just happy to be a part of it,” Ella says.
Mayor Jay Dean says the family’s generosity has connected Longview to its first applicant to run the new shelter.
