SAN MARCOS, Texas (AP) — More than a dozen students and adults have been hurt after a truck rear-ended a stopped Central Texas school bus.
Authorities say Monday afternoon’s accident in San Marcos involved a utility truck plus the bus carrying 11 Travis Elementary School students, the driver and a bus monitor.
The San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District says 10 students and the bus driver were transported to a hospital, treated for minor injuries and released Monday night.
An uninjured child was released to the parents.
Details weren’t immediately available Tuesday on conditions of the school bus monitor and the trucker, who also were transported to a hospital. Their names weren’t released.
