Houston-area boy, 3, dies after shooting self in head

HOUSTON (AP) — Authorities say a 3-year-old Houston-area boy has died after accidentally shooting himself in the head while at home.

Harris County constables say the accident happened Friday afternoon while the child was in the house with his mother. The victim died later at a hospital.


Investigators are trying to determine how the child got the gun.

The boy’s name wasn’t immediately released.
