A traffic stop this week resulted in a former Gregg County district attorney behind bars on multiple felony charges.

According to jail records, Robert “Rob” Riter Foster, 69, was arrested at 7 p.m. Tuesday night by Longview police on charges of possession of a controlled substance, driving while intoxicated and unlawful carrying of a weapon.

Foster was released Tuesday on bonds totaling $22,000.
