SAN ANTONIO (AP) — A San Antonio man has been sentenced to 66 years in prison for killing his sister’s boyfriend and forcing her to help clean up the blood.

Jesus Rivera was sentenced Tuesday for the 2012 Thanksgiving Day slaying of 21-year-old Ryan Yearley. Jurors in San Antonio on Monday convicted Rivera of murder.

Investigators say the 21-year-old Rivera shot Yearley during an argument and then hid the body in a garage adjacent to the home he shared with the couple.

Rivera told authorities that the victim had a knife and threatened him.
