Palestine Independent School District board of trustees on Monday approved hiring Robby Clark as the district’s new athletic director.

Clark has 20 years of coaching experience, Larissa Loveless, district public relations director, said. He will leave an offensive coordinator’s position at Austin Westlake High School and hopefully be ready to “go full force” at his new position after spring break, she said.

Prior to Austin Westlake, Clark was at Odessa Permian High School, Ms. Loveless said.

He replaces Jay Brown, who resigned early this year.
