MADD, Jarvis College to host safety fair

Mothers Against Drunk Driving and the Jarvis Christian College Department of Residence Life have partnered to present a safety fair on the Jarvis campus from 1 to 6 p.m. on March 24.

The safety fair will feature displays and activities from MADD and other organizations focused on prevention.


Bobbi Brooks with the Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Program and Watch Ur BAC will be on hand with the DWI Prevention Simulator, Pedal Car and Goggles and an Alcohol Awareness display.

The safety fair is part of the MADD and Jarvis Christian College Residence Life “Educating without Lecturing” series. The purpose of the series is to educate teens and young adults by using brief presentations, hands-on activities and small group question and answer sessions.

The safety fair is open to all prevention organizations, law enforcement, etc. Space is limited. The deadline to reserve a space is March 9.
