CARROLLTON, Texas (AP) — Carrollton police say a 43-year-old woman has died after crashing a motorcycle that she was test-driving.

Authorities say Sherry Gutkowski of Arlington was riding the motorcycle Saturday in a private parking lot next to a motorcycle dealership.

Carrollton police spokeswoman Jolene DeVito says Gutkowski hit a curb, flipped and fell off the motorcycle. Gutkowski was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

DeVito tells The Dallas Morning News that Gutkowski was wearing a helmet. DeVito says crime scene and accident investigators are looking into the cause of the crash.
