DALLAS (AP) — The arrival of spring may be only a month away but that’s not preventing Old Man Winter from extending his icy grip across much of Texas.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for North Texas and weather advisories are in place for the Panhandle, Central Texas and elsewhere.
Rain began falling Sunday in North Texas as temperatures plummet into the 20s come nightfall. More than 350 flights at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport were delayed or canceled.
Snow is expected to start falling Sunday in parts of West Texas and forecasts call for a couple inches of snow come Monday.
NWS forecasts call for rain in Central Texas to turn Monday to freezing rain. The Houston area is expected to see rain Sunday through Wednesday.
