TYLER (KYTX)- Linda Jones of Canton feels like she got a second chance at life after heart surgery.

“I wake up everyday full of life!”

It was last march that Jones went in for a heart catheterization– doctors discovered blockage. Her condition required Dr. Doolabh of Trinity Mother Frances to start surgery immediately.

“The very first thing I asked him was… can you really do this?” said Jones. “You wonder because they take your beating heart and take it apart and fix it.”

And that’s exactly what he did– fix her heart. In fact so much, Jones’ heart got lucky in other ways. Shortly after her surgery, she met Billy.

“I was single and I didn’t want to be that way… I got on match.com and I met a wonderful guy.”

Jones also loves to travel, she just got back from a cruise. “We went to Honduras, Belize City, and Cozumel”, said Jones.

Jones said she feels lucky to have landed in the hands of the Trinity Mother Frances staff. Still she wants women everywhere to be cautious of the signs.

“You know when something is going wrong,” she said. “If you feel shortness of breath and feet swelling and legs swelling, go to the doctor.”

Jones has been listening to her body ever since. She feels no pain and lives free of heart disease– and she’s thankful for her new heart.

“I’m happy to have it. I love it. I feel it beating every day and I know its working,” said Jones.
