Brownsboro girls roll

WILLS POINT — Trysten Mosley and Bri Warren combined for 25 points and Bearettes’ defense clamped down in the second half as No. 20 Brownsboro scored a 67-29 win over Kaufman on Monday in a Class 4A bi-district girls basketball game.
Brownsboro (27-7) advances to meet Pleasant Grove later in the week in regional play.
The Lady Lions end their season at 5-26.
“We had a bit of the playoff jitters in the first half,” Bearettes coach Fred Griffin said. “In the second half, we played great team defense.”
Brownsboro went on a 23-4 run in the third quarter to take a 49-23 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
Mosley led the Bearettes with 13 points, while Warren adde 12.
Maddie Smith led Kaufman with 16 points.
