It’s was Big Monday for UT Tyler softball, but now it will have to be Super Tuesday.

The No. 6-ranked UT Tyler Patriots softball team was scheduled to meet the St. Joseph College (Vermont) Fighting Saints Monday, but weather conditions forced a postponement to Tuesday. Game times at Suddenlink Field are scheduled for 2:30 and 4:30 p.m.

The Patriots are 5-0 on the season. It will be the opening games for the Fighting Saints. The Vermont squad is on a Texas swing with games on Wednesday (vs. UT Dallas in Richardson), Friday in (vs. Murray State, vs. Eastern Oklahoma in Kilgore) and Saturday (vs. Grayson County, vs. Connors State in Kilgore).

The 8-0 TJC baseball team, which is ranked No. 1 in NJCAA Division III, was scheduled to take on Brookhaven College Monday, but the game was moved to Wednesday. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m. The game change was due to possible weather conditions and travel issues for Brookhaven, Dr. Tim Drain, TJC athletic director, said.
