Shoppers at the Tyler Ross store will have the opportunity to support the Boys & Girls Clubs of East Texas when they check out.

For the rest of this month, Ross customers in Tyler can make a monetary donation at checkout for the Boys & Girls Clubs of East Texas.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of East Texas “exists to mobilize godly people into the lives of kids and families, to provide tangible help and eternal hope,” according to a program news release.

The Club seeks to accomplish this through its afterschool programs, Gospel Village mentors and summer camp programs.

The local Boys & Girls Clubs will receive 80 percent of donations made to the Tyler Ross store during this campaign.

The remaining 20 percent will go to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. The company also will be matching a portion of donations.

This campaign, which is called “Open the Door to Great Futures,” is nationwide and is a partnership between Ross Stores and the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

“Ross is committed to supporting the youth in the communities we serve,” Gary Cribb, one of the company’s executive vice presidents, said in a news release. “In the month of February, we invite our customers to join us in donating to the Power Hour program to help youth develop the study skills they need to excel in their studies and beyond.”
