Men in Harmony, The Lettermen set on Feb. 26

A concert of a cappella music, set for Feb. 26 in Tyler, will feature the East Texas Men in Harmony chorus and The Lettermen, organizers announced. 

East Texas Men in Harmony, a barbershop chorus based in Tyler, will open the show, followed by a two-hour program by The Lettermen. Both groups will perform in the finale.


The concert is set for 7 p.m. at the Green Acres Baptist Church’s CrossWalk Conference Center, 1607 Troup Highway. Tick-ets range from $25 to $45.

The Lettermen — now made up of Bobby Poynton, Donovan Tea and Tony Butala — is known for its tight harmonies. 

Throughout the 1960s, the original trio — of which Butala was a member — had a series of hits, including “The Way You Look Tonight,” When I Fall in Love” and “Hurt So Bad.” The group continues to record music and perform hundreds a concerts a year.
