Dr. William Seale, a historical and architectural restoration expert, is scheduled to speak in Longview on Feb. 17.

Gregg County Historical Museum, the city of Longview and Northeast Texas Chapter of architects are sponsoring the lecture, set for 7 p.m. at Longview First Baptist Church, 209 E. South St.

Seale will speak on his book “The Imperial Season: America’s Capital in the Time of the First Ambassadors, 1893 and 1918,” organizers said.

Admission is free.
