All Saints clinched the TAPPS District 2-4A basketball championship with a 77-36 victory over rival Bishop Gorman Tuesday at Brookshire Gym.

The Trojans (30-2) finished league play at 8-0 and will begin play in the district tournament on Tuesday.

The No. 5-ranked Trojans played without leading scorer Aston Francis, who is out with a stress fracture, coach Eddie Francis said.

Four All Saints were in double figures scoring, led by Jaired Maddox’s 20 points. He was followed by Luke Lee (16), Spencer Ball (11) and Matt Brunson (11).

The Crusaders were paced by Judah Bell’s 13 points. He was followed by Peyton Fanning (12) and Nick Vandiver (8).

Luke Lee had seven rebounds for the Trojans, while Maddox added five.

Bell paced TKG with eight boards.

In the girls game, led by 17 points from Kendal Rhodus, All Saints went to work early against Bishop Gorman and took down its rival 41-28.
