TIFTON — The Tift Theatre’s own pop culture convention is set to return this weekend, but with a slightly spookier twist this time around.

As part of the Halloween festivities for the month of October, the second showing of TiftCon, branded as the “Horror Edition,” will invite the Tifton community to take part in frights and fun within the halls of the theatre the afternoon of Oct. 12.

Attendees are encouraged to dress up in costume and mingle with local vendors, their fellow geeks in the community, and a handful of guests who are experts in the spooky and scary.

Florida-based paranormal investigation team War Party Paranormal are expected to host a ghost reveal during the event, and will take part in a Q & A with fellow paranormal investigators Cross the Line Paranormal, who were present at the inaugural TiftCon last year.

Organizers have announced that, as part of the city’s Second Saturday program, the event will be entirely free to the public. Concessions will be made available throughout the event.
